Puelo Lake

Puelo Lake is a glacial lake in the Andean foothills of Chubut Province in southern Argentina, known for its clear waters and forested shoreline. The lake sits within a landscape of mountain streams, native forest, and small lakeside settlements.

The shoreline includes beaches and small towns that provide access for swimming, small-boat recreation, and lakeside accommodation; surrounding hills and streams feed the lake and form a scenic mountain-front setting. The area is frequented by regional visitors and is linked by road to nearby towns in the Andean corridor.

The lake is set in the Andean foothills west of the Chubut plateau and is part of a network of glacial lakes and rivers in the region. It lies close to the town of Lago Puelo and is visited as part of trips from El Bolsón and other nearby mountain towns.
