How to Get to Provins
Provins is most easily reached from Paris by Transilien line P from Gare de l'Est to Gare de Provins (about 1¼ hours). For day trips from Paris the regular regional train service is the simplest and most reliable option.
Paris Charles de Gaulle (CDG) / Orly (ORY): Provins has no airport of its own; most visitors fly into Paris (CDG or ORY) and continue by train. From CDG you can take a shuttle or RER to Gare de l’Est area for onward trains.
Beauvais / Vatry / Regional airports: These are alternative entry points but usually require longer onward travel by coach or train to reach Provins.
Train: Provins is served by Transilien (Line P) from Paris Gare de l’Est to Gare de Provins; journey time is roughly 1h15-1h30 depending on service. This direct regional service is the most convenient public-transport link from Paris.
Bus: Local buses serve Provins and nearby villages; bus connections are useful for reaching rural attractions but check schedules, especially outside peak tourist season.
