Primate's Palace, Bratislava

The Primate’s Palace (Primaciálny palác) is a neoclassical city palace in Bratislava’s Old Town, completed in the late 18th century (1778-1781). It is notable for its well-preserved ceremonial interiors and historic role in city life.

Designed by architect Melchior Hefele and built in the late 18th century for the archbishopric, the building has served civic and ceremonial functions since its completion. Over the 19th and 20th centuries it was used for municipal and state events and has been adapted for museum displays and official receptions.

The palace sits on Primaciálne námestie in Bratislava’s Old Town, within walking distance of the Main Square and the Danube riverfront. It is centrally located in the Bratislava city centre and is easily reached on foot from other Old Town attractions.
