Predjama Castle sits a short drive northwest of Postojna (approximately 8-12 km by local roads). The usual approach is to drive or take a taxi from Postojna town (around a 10-20 minute drive) along regional roads that connect the two sites. Many tourists visit Predjama Castle after or before Postojna Cave; there are also local tourist shuttles linking the cave visitor center and the castle.
There is roadside parking at the castle and pedestrian paths from the parking area to the site.

- Visit Predjama Castle in the morning or late afternoon to avoid the midday coach groups that also visit from Postojna; arriving outside peak hours gives better access to the courtyard and photos without crowds.
