The Postăvarul Massif is a mountain massif in central Romania, immediately adjacent to the Poiana Brașov resort and near the city of Brașov. Its principal summit rises to 1,799 metres and it forms a prominent local landmark in the southern Carpathians.
Trail networks, marked paths and lift access from Poiana Brașov provide routes for hiking, mountain walking and winter skiing; viewpoints on the ridge give wide views over the Brașov basin and surrounding ranges. Recreational use is concentrated around the resort and the main summit area.
The massif is a natural feature of the Carpathian chain; traditional uses have included grazing and forestry, and in the 20th century the development of Poiana Brașov established the area as a regional ski and mountain-tourism centre. Ongoing trail maintenance and lift infrastructure support visitor access.
Geographically the massif sits immediately southwest of the city of Brașov in central Romania, with the built-up resort of Poiana Brașov on its northern slopes. Access is typically from Brașov and from roadheads serving the resort.
