How to Get to Marquess of Pombal Square #
Marquês de Pombal has its own Metro station (Marquês de Pombal) served by the Blue (Linha Azul) and Yellow (Linha Amarela) lines. Many buses cross the square; it’s a short walk (about 10-15 minutes) up Avenida da Liberdade from Rossio and roughly 15-20 minutes on foot from the top of Bairro Alto.

- Take the Metro: Marquês de Pombal station is served by the Blue (Linha Azul) and Yellow (Linha Amarela) lines - get off here and walk to the roundabout.

- Skip the inner traffic circle and head up the stone steps toward Parque Eduardo VII for a quieter vantage point and better perspective of the avenue's geometry.
