How to Get to Porto-Vecchio

Porto-Vecchio is most commonly accessed through Figari-Sud Corse Airport (FSC) with a short onward road transfer; the town itself is not on Corsica's rail network. Seasonal changes matter a lot - summer has many more shuttle and bus options than winter.

By Air

Figari-Sud Corse Airport (FSC): The closest airport to Porto-Vecchio (about 20-30 minutes by road). In summer there are shuttle buses and airport taxis; expect a taxi to Porto-Vecchio in the €30-€60 range and a drive time of roughly 25-35 minutes. Seasonal public shuttles run in high season with fares typically around €8-€15.

Bastia-Poretta (BIA) / Ajaccio Napoleon Bonaparte (AJA): These are island gateways with longer transfers by road (1.5-3 hours to Porto-Vecchio). Use them only if you need a particular flight; transfers from these airports are usually by intercity coach or rental car.

By Train & Bus

Train: Corsica’s railway does not reach Porto-Vecchio - there is no direct rail service to the town.

Bus: Regional buses and shuttle services connect Porto-Vecchio with Figari, Bastia and Ajaccio, but many routes are seasonal and less frequent outside summer. Ticket prices for intercity buses on the island are commonly €5-€20 depending on distance; check local seasonal timetables in advance.

How to Get Around Porto-Vecchio #
