Płock Cathedral is a Roman Catholic cathedral on Cathedral Hill (Wzgórze Tumskie) in Płock, Masovian Voivodeship, and serves as the seat of the Diocese of Płock, one of Poland’s oldest dioceses. The church’s core dates to the medieval period and the site has been a diocesan centre since the Middle Ages.
The cathedral combines Romanesque origins with later Gothic and Baroque interior elements. Highlights include historic burial sites of local rulers, medieval stonework and a series of chapels and altars that reflect later refurbishments. The hilltop position gives sweeping views over the Vistula River and the city.
