Plačkovica is a mountain massif in eastern North Macedonia characterised by forested slopes and a series of peaks used for hiking and local outdoor activities. The range is part of the broader mountainous terrain of the region and supports mixed broadleaf and coniferous forests.
The massif’s highest summit, Lisec, rises to 1,754 metres and is the principal destination for walkers and mountaineers. Trails and forest roads provide access from nearby towns and villages.
The area is used seasonally for pastoral activities and recreation, and it supports local biodiversity of mountain flora and fauna. Traditional land uses coexist with growing interest in outdoor tourism.
Plačkovica lies in eastern North Macedonia, east of the main valley corridors and near regional towns that serve as access points for trails into the massif.
