Peleș Castle is a late 19th-century Neo-Renaissance palace located in Sinaia, Prahova County, Romania, built as a royal summer residence for King Carol I. It is noted for ornate interiors, carved wood and a collection of period art and arms.
Opulent reception rooms, an imperial suite and specialised chambers such as an armory and music room present high-quality decorative arts and craftsmanship from the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Terraces and viewpoints link the palace to the nearby Bucegi Mountains and the Sinaia resort town.
Guided tours commonly circulate the principal state rooms and show decorative stonework, stained glass and extensive interior wood carving.
