Pedraforca

Pedraforca is a distinctive forked mountain in the Catalan Pre-Pyrenees notable for its double summit and central saddle. The massif’s highest point reaches 2,506 metres and it is a landmark of the Berguedà area in Catalonia.

Hiking and scrambling are the main activities, with established routes that gain the ridge and cross the Enforcadura saddle connecting the two arms of the peak. The landscape includes karst terrain and alpine meadows and is popular with day hikers and mountaineers.

The mountain lies within the Pre-Pyrenees near the villages of Gósol and Saldes and is managed within regional conservation frameworks for mountain landscapes.
