The annual Festival do Boi-Bumbá-where the rival Caprichoso and Garantido teams perform at the Bumbódromo-turns the entire island into a theatrical spectacle rooted in Amazonian folklore. Outside festival season, visitors find colorful local handicrafts, riverine rhythms, and regional cuisine centered on fish like tambaqui, all infused with the island’s deep cultural rhythms.
