Parco del Valentino lies on the southern bank of the Po River in central Turin. It is within walking distance from the city centre and easily reached by tram lines 4 and 9 (stop near Lungo Po). Several bus routes also serve the park’s perimeter.

- Enter from the riverbank by the Ponte Umberto I or from Corso Massimo d'Azeglio to avoid the busiest park entrances near Valentino Castle.
- On the first Sunday of the month (seasonal) local vendors and artisans sometimes set up near the castle - a good time to catch street food.
- Stop at the medieval-style Villino Fraccaroli and notice the worn stone stairs along the river path that locals use for morning runs.
