Parco del Valentino

Parco del Valentino is a major urban park along the Po River in Turin, Piedmont, forming a continuous green ribbon through the city. It is one of Turin’s principal public parks and contains several historic and recreational attractions.

Key attractions include the reconstructed Borgo Medievale, created for the 1884 national exhibition, and the Castello del Valentino, a historic Savoy residence set on the riverbank. The park also contains the university Orto Botanico, formal promenades, ornamental gardens and riverside paths used for walking and cycling.

The park was developed during the 19th century as Turin expanded and now combines landscaped English-style parkland, formal gardens and built heritage from different periods. It functions as both a daily recreational space for residents and a site for cultural events.
