Pantaleu
Island Rocky islet off Mallorca's coast
A tiny islet in the Balearics, Pantaleu sits offshore and attracts boaters and divers for rocky shores, clear water and short coastal swims rather than formal facilities.
Pantaleu is a small, uninhabited islet off the southwest coast of Mallorca in the Balearic Islands. It sits just offshore from the village of Sant Elm on the island of Mallorca.
The islet is a frequent destination for short boat excursions from Sant Elm and for recreational diving and snorkeling in the surrounding waters. There are no visitor facilities on the islet itself; visits are typically day trips from the Mallorca coast.
Pantaleu has no permanent settlement and has historically been used as a navigational reference and for local fishing activity rather than as an inhabited site. It remains largely undeveloped and protected by local maritime regulations.
Situated a short distance offshore from the village of Sant Elm on Mallorca’s southwest coast, Pantaleu is part of the Balearic Islands administrative region of Spain.
