Palazzo Carignano

Palazzo Carignano is a late 17th-century Baroque palace in Turin, Italy, notable for its curved brick façade and its role in 19th-century Italian politics. Designed by Guarino Guarini, the palace later housed parliamentary assemblies and now contains museum displays.

The distinctive undulating brick façade and formal reception rooms are principal attractions; interior tours include the museum of Risorgimento history, which traces the Italian unification movement. The palace is compact and frequently visited as part of Turin’s historic center.

Constructed in the late 17th century for the Princes of Carignano and designed by architect Guarino Guarini, the palace later accommodated Subalpine and national parliamentary assemblies during the 19th century. In the 20th century parts of the building were converted to museum use to preserve its political and architectural history.

The palace sits in central Turin, in the Piedmont region, within the historic urban core near other Savoy residences and city monuments.
