Palazzo Braschi is a late 18th-century neoclassical palace in central Rome, sited close to Piazza Navona. It was built for the Braschi Onesti family and today contains municipal cultural spaces.
The palace contains the Museo di Roma, with galleries devoted to the city’s urban life, prints and period interiors. Visitors also see the building’s large stair and neoclassical rooms that host temporary exhibitions and municipal displays.
Commissioned by Luigi Braschi Onesti in the late 18th century, the palace was constructed as a family residence. Over time the building was repurposed for public and cultural uses and now serves as a museum and exhibition venue.
Set in Rome’s historic centre between Piazza Navona and Corso Vittorio Emanuele II, the palazzo sits amid dense urban streets and other Baroque-era landmarks.
