Palacio de Cibeles is a monumental early 20th-century building in central Madrid that formerly served as the city’s main postal and communications hub and now houses municipal offices and the cultural centre CentroCentro. The building occupies one side of Plaza de Cibeles and is a prominent landmark in the city.
Visitors can explore rotating exhibitions and cultural programming in the CentroCentro spaces, and access an observation terrace that offers panoramic views over the plaza, surrounding avenues and central Madrid. In the 21st century the complex was adapted to house municipal functions and a public cultural centre, preserving its exhibition spaces and public vantage points.
Sited on Plaza de Cibeles at the junction of several major boulevards in central Madrid, the palace is adjacent to other city landmarks and is easily reached on foot or by public transport.
