Otmuchów Lake Reservoir

Otmuchów Lake (Jezioro Otmuchowskie) is a reservoir on the Nysa Kłodzka river near the town of Otmuchów in Opole Voivodeship, south-west Poland. It functions as a retention reservoir and a local recreational area.

The shoreline and shallow bays are used for angling, sailing, windsurfing and lakeside leisure; there are beaches, informal campsites and small marinas that serve local visitors. Facilities and access points are concentrated near the town of Otmuchów and the dam.

The lake was created by damming the Nysa Kłodzka to regulate flow and reduce flood risk; its management has since included provisions for water supply, fisheries and recreation. Infrastructure around the reservoir has evolved to support tourism and local leisure use.

The reservoir sits immediately adjacent to the town of Otmuchów in south-western Poland, close to the Czech border and within Opole Voivodeship. The dam and main access are at the town side, with roads linking to nearby settlements.

Otmuchów Lake lies a short drive from the town of Otmuchów in Opole Voivodeship. From the regional centre of Opole, follow regional roads (DK46 and local roads toward Paczków/Otmuchów). Local buses serve nearby towns; a car or taxi is the most convenient way to reach lakeside spots.
