Ortobene is about 3-4 km from Nuoro’s center; by car follow SP38/SS129 and local roads uphill. There are local walking trails from Nuoro that reach the ridge in under an hour for fit walkers. Public transport to the immediate ridge is limited-taxis from Nuoro are the practical option.
