Though it’s nothing like as extensive as the Night Bazaar in Chiang Mai or Chiang Rai, Phitsanulok’s Night Bazaar is worth a stroll before or after dinner.
There’s not much in the way of souvenirs and most goods are fashion items or accessories that appeal to teenage girls, but there’s a friendly vibe to the place, and there’s also a string of bars facing the river that try to drown each other out with their music.
If you walk south of the Night Bazaar by the river, you’ll come across a few restaurants that specialize in ‘flying morning glory’, which makes for an interesting spectacle even if you don’t try some yourself.
Getting There#
You can walk there from any downtown hotel or guest house. If you’re feeling lazy, ask your hotel staff to arrange a tricycle to take you there.
