It is easily reached by Rio’s metro Line 1 - Cinelândia station is the closest major stop (about a 10-15 minute walk across central streets), and several municipal bus routes also stop in the Praça XV/Centro area.
By car from Rio-Galeão (Antonio Carlos Jobim) Airport the drive into Centro is roughly 20-25 km and typically takes 30-60 minutes depending on traffic, using the main approaches into the city (Linha Vermelha/Avenida Brasil and central avenues into Centro).
