How to Get to Ólafsvík
Ólafsvík on the Snæfellsnes peninsula is reached most reliably from Keflavík (KEF) or Reykjavík by road. There are no trains and public buses to the peninsula are limited outside summer, so renting a car is the most practical option for independent travel.
Keflavík International Airport (KEF): KEF is the main international gateway to Iceland. From KEF you can rent a car (driving to Ólafsvík takes about 2.5-3 hours, depending on weather) or take coach services into Reykjavík and onward; car rental prices start from roughly €50/day depending on season.
