Oeniadae was an ancient Greek city and seaport in the region of Acarnania, located on the west bank of the Achelous River near the Ionian coast. It functioned as a fortified harbour settlement in the classical and Hellenistic periods.
Ruins include defensive walls and traces of urban remains that reflect its role as a regional stronghold and commercial node. The site’s remains are visited for their archaeological interest and for views of the river plain.
