How to Get to Novi Pazar

Novi Pazar is a southwestern Serbian city with no direct long-distance rail service; it's best reached by intercity bus from Belgrade, Niš or regional centers. Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport (BEG) is the main international arrival point-after landing most travelers continue by bus or hired car to Novi Pazar.

By Air

Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport (BEG): Belgrade’s BEG is the largest nearby international airport; from Belgrade to Novi Pazar by road takes about 3.5-4.5 hours depending on route and border crossing traffic (if routing via Kosovo), so many visitors prefer bus connections. Airport-to-city transfers include taxis (~RSD 1,800-2,500) and buses to the central bus station.

Tivta/Pristina Airport (PRN) as an alternative: Pristina (Kosovo) can be closer by road for some routes to Novi Pazar (around 2-3 hours depending on border procedures). If traveling via PRN, factor in cross-border formalities; local buses and taxis operate from the airport to Pristina center and onward services to Serbia.

Travel times from Belgrade are typically 4-5 hours; fares are affordable and tickets can be bought at bus stations or online for major carriers.
