How to Get to Nitra Castle #
Nitra Castle sits on a hill above the centre of Nitra. By car it is reached from the R1 expressway that serves Nitra from the direction of Trnava/Bratislava (road R1 passes close to the city); from Bratislava it is roughly a 90-100 km drive via the R1. From Nitra railway station or the city centre the castle is an uphill walk of roughly 1 km (about 10-20 minutes); local city buses also serve stops near the city centre from which it is a short walk uphill.
