Nitra Castle

Nitra Castle is a historic hilltop castle complex overlooking the city of Nitra in western Slovakia. The site combines defensive structures with ecclesiastical buildings and has been a regional seat of church and local power for many centuries.

Prominent features include the Cathedral of St. Emeram, the bishop’s residence and a courtyard that functions as a public vantage point over the city. Visitors come for the architecture, church interiors and elevated views of Nitra.
