Nazi Party rally grounds

Nazi Party Rally Grounds (Reichsparteitagsgelände) in Nuremberg are the complex of parade grounds and monumental structures used for the Nazi mass rallies of the 1930s. The site includes large-scale constructions from the Nazi period that were designed to host mass events and propaganda displays.

Major surviving structures include the open parade ground known as Zeppelin Field and the enormous, partly unfinished Congress Hall. The complex is now principally preserved as a historical site with exhibition and documentation facilities rather than an event venue.

Construction and large-scale works took place during the 1930s under the Nazi government; architects and officials of the regime planned the grounds as a setting for party rallies through the 1930s. After 1945 the site fell into disuse and parts were later conserved for historical study and public education.

The rally grounds lie in the southeast of Nuremberg near the Dutzendteich area and are accessible from the city; parts of the site are used for exhibitions and guided historical interpretation.
