How to Get to Monterado
Monterado (Marche) is typically reached via Ancona-Falconara airport with an onward train to Senigallia and a local bus or taxi to the village. Regional trains to Ancona/Senigallia plus local buses cover the final short leg.
Ancona Falconara Airport (AOI): The main airport serving the central Marche region. From AOI take a bus or taxi to Ancona Centrale (roughly 20-30 minutes for the shuttle, fares ~€3-6), then a regional train to Senigallia or nearby stations and a local bus to Monterado; total travel time commonly 45-90 minutes.
Pescara (PSR) / Bologna (BLQ): Alternatives depending on flight availability; both require longer onward rail/bus travel into the Marche and local bus transfers to Monterado.
Train: Use Trenitalia regional services to reach Ancona or Senigallia stations (Ancona is the main hub). From Ancona short regional trains reach Senigallia; fares are modest and journey times short (under an hour).
Bus: Local buses and regional carriers serve Monterado from Senigallia and Ancona; expect short journeys (20-40 minutes) with fares around €1.50-4. Taxis are available for direct transfers when bus times are inconvenient.
