Miramar Palace

Miramar Palace is a late 19th century palace on a headland in San Sebastián, Basque Country, Spain, overlooking La Concha Bay. It was constructed as a seaside royal retreat and is a prominent civic landmark on the city’s waterfront.

The site features formal gardens, terraces and sea-facing rooms that give unobstructed views across the bay and the city beaches. The grounds are popular for walking and photography and host outdoor cultural events.

Originally built as a royal summer residence in the late 19th century, the property later became municipal and has been repurposed for cultural and educational uses. The building and gardens have been maintained as part of the city’s public amenities.

The palace occupies a promontory between Ondarreta and La Concha beaches in San Sebastián, directly facing the Bay of La Concha on Spain’s northern coast.
