Mirabell Palace

Mirabell Palace is a historic palace in central Salzburg, Austria, built in the early 17th century and noted for its Baroque gardens and ceremonial interiors. It has been reworked over time and today houses municipal offices and public cultural spaces.

Constructed in the early 1600s by a prince-archbishop, the palace and its grounds were remodeled in the Baroque period, including the 18th-century redesign of the gardens; the Marble Hall later became a prominent concert and events space. The complex has served both private princely functions historically and public civic uses in modern times.

Located beside the Salzach River in Salzburg’s city center, Mirabell Palace sits within easy walking distance of the Old Town and the Hohensalzburg Fortress, making it a central stop on city walking routes.
