Miniestadi
Stadium Former FC Barcelona reserve stadium near Camp Nou
Adjacent to Camp Nou, the Miniestadi hosted FC Barcelona’s reserve matches and youth fixtures; football fans still visit the site during Camp Nou tours and to access the club museum.
Miniestadi (Mini Estadi) was a sports stadium in Barcelona, Catalonia, built adjacent to Camp Nou to host reserve, youth and some women’s matches for FC Barcelona. It opened in 1982 and had a seating capacity of roughly 15,000.
The stadium was primarily used for matches by Barcelona B and youth sides and for club training events and smaller fixtures that did not require Camp Nou. Its compact size made it convenient for supporters of reserve-team matches and club academy events.
Commissioned by the club in the late 20th century to provide a dedicated smaller venue, the Miniestadi remained in use until club redevelopment initiatives led to replacement facilities. Operations moved to the Estadi Johan Cruyff in 2019 and the Miniestadi was subsequently decommissioned and demolished to make way for new development.
The site sat next to the Camp Nou complex in the Les Corts district of Barcelona, close to the club’s main facilities and accessible from the city by metro and local transport.
- Capacity: Seated capacity was about 15,000 spectators; it served as FC Barcelona's reserve and youth teams' home ground for decades before closure.
- Dates: Opened in 1982 and decommissioned as a match venue in 2019 when operations moved to the Estadi Johan Cruyff as part of club redevelopment plans.
