Mildura is easily reached by a short taxi ride from Mildura Airport or by long-distance coach from Melbourne or Adelaide. Public coach services are the main public-transport option for long-distance arrivals; there is no regular passenger rail service.

By Air

Mildura Airport (MQL): Mildura’s regional airport has regular flights to Melbourne (flown by Rex/QantasLink seasonally). From MQL the city centre is about 10-15 minutes by taxi; taxis typically cost around AUD 15-25.

Melbourne Airport (MEL): For international travellers, fly into Melbourne and connect by road or coach to Mildura. V/Line coach services and private operators run between Melbourne and Mildura (journey ~6.5-7.5 hours by coach; fares commonly AUD 50-120 depending on operator and advance booking).

By Train & Bus

Train: There is no regular passenger train service to Mildura - the line is freight-only for much of its length, so rail is not a practical option.
