How to Get to Mejit
Mejit Island is accessible only from Majuro by sea or limited domestic-air connections; infrastructure is minimal and services are infrequent. Advance planning with local operators is essential.
Amata Kabua International Airport (MAJ): Mejit Island has no international airport; travelers arrive via Majuro (MAJ) and then use inter-island services. Air Marshall Islands serves some nearby atolls but Mejit often requires a sea leg from a served island or direct charter.
Note: Mejit does not host scheduled international flights.
Train: No rail service exists in the Marshall Islands.
Bus / Local transfer: No scheduled bus service to Mejit. Boat charters or combined domestic flights plus boat hops are typical-confirm availability and book through Majuro operators well ahead of travel.
How to Get Around Mejit #
Mejit Island is compact and largely walkable; people typically travel by foot or use small boats for nearby lagoon trips. There are very few motor vehicles on the island.
