Mały Szyszak is a mountain peak in the Giant Mountains (Karkonosze) on the border region between Poland and the Czech Republic. The name translates as “Little Helmet” and it forms part of the mountain range’s rocky ridgeline.
The summit is one of several closely spaced peaks in the range and is frequented by hikers following marked trails that link to neighbouring summits. Terrain around the peak is alpine and can include exposed rock and steep sections.
The peak is part of the Karkonosze range’s network of trails and is reached from local mountain towns and trailheads within the national park areas that protect the Giant Mountains.
Mały Szyszak lies in south-western Poland within the broader Sudetes mountain system and is accessible from nearby mountain resorts and border crossings into the Czech Republic.
