By car from Stuttgart drive west on the A8 toward Pforzheim/Mühlacker and then follow the local roads (B35 regionally) to Maulbronn; the drive is roughly 40-50 km (about 45 minutes depending on traffic) and there is site parking with a short walk to the monastery complex.
By public transport take a regional train from Stuttgart Hauptbahnhof to Mühlacker, then a local bus or short taxi ride into Maulbronn (the final leg is a short walk from the local stop to the monastery).
