The Margravial Opera House in Bayreuth, Bavaria, is an 18th-century court theatre built for the Margravine Wilhelmine and completed in the mid-1700s; it is renowned for its intact Baroque stage, auditorium and decoration. The horseshoe-shaped auditorium seats roughly five hundred people and displays original painted ceiling work, boxes and decorative woodwork.
