The Manoel Theatre (Teatru Manoel) is a baroque theatre located in Valletta, Malta, and is one of Europe’s oldest working theatres. It was commissioned by Grand Master António Manoel de Vilhena in the early 18th century and has retained its role as a venue for drama, opera and concerts.

Teatru Manoel sits in central Valletta a short walk from the city’s main transit hubs. Buses from across Malta operated by Malta Public Transport terminate at the Valletta Bus Terminus (Triton Fountain); from there it’s roughly a 5-10 minute walk (about 400-700 m) along Republic Street/Old Theatre Street to the theatre. Alternatively the Sliema-Valletta ferry lands at the Valletta Ferry Terminal - a 5-8 minute walk to Manoel Theatre.
If driving from Malta International Airport it’s approximately 7-9 km to Valletta (about 15-25 minutes in normal traffic); note that vehicle access and parking in Valletta are restricted, so most visitors use buses, the ferry or park outside the city and walk in.
