Tarbes-Lourdes-Pyrénées Airport (LDE): The closest airport, about 10-20 minutes from Lourdes town centre. Taxis and airport shuttles run between the airport and Lourdes; taxi rides take about 10-20 minutes and typically cost approximately €10-€25.
Toulouse-Blagnac (TLS) / Pau Pyrénées (PUF): Toulouse and Pau are larger airports used by international visitors; drive or coach connections from these airports to Lourdes take about 1.5-2 hours (Toulouse) or 45-60 minutes (Pau) depending on traffic and service.
Train: Gare de Lourdes is a major rail station on SNCF’s network - TGV and Intercités services run between Paris and Lourdes (direct TGV from Paris in roughly 4.5 hours when available). Regional TER trains connect to Tarbes, Pau and other nearby towns.
Bus: Regional buses serve the surrounding towns and villages; shuttle buses operate from Tarbes-Lourdes-Pyrénées airport and during pilgrimage seasons there are additional coach services. Local buses and taxi services handle shorter transfers within the area.
