How to Get to Longaví
Longaví is a small inland town in Chile's Maule Region best reached by road from Santiago or nearby regional centres (Talca, Linares). There is no significant passenger rail service; intercity buses and private cars are the usual options.
La Serena / La Florida Airport (LSC) - nearest regional air access: Longaví and the Maule Region are usually reached by road from regional airports; there is no major airport in Longaví itself. Travelers commonly fly into Santiago (SCL) and continue by bus or car to the Maule Region.
Arturo Merino Benítez / Santiago (SCL): From Santiago you can take intercity buses or drive to Longaví (Maule). Flight to local regional airports is possible but most choose the road connection from Santiago; driving time from Santiago to Longaví is roughly 3.5-4.5 hours depending on traffic and route.
Train: There is limited regular passenger rail service in this part of Chile; Longaví is best served by road transport rather than rail.
Bus: Intercity buses from Santiago (Terminal Alameda) and from nearby regional centres (Curicó, Linares, Talca) connect to Longaví and neighbouring towns. Journey times vary: Santiago-Longaví by bus/car ~3.5-4.5 hours; from Talca or Linares much shorter. Check local bus companies for schedules.
