The Little Beskids are a mountain range in southern Poland, part of the Western Beskids sub-range of the Carpathians. The range is dominated by rounded, forested peaks with the highest point at Czupel (933 metres).

The Little Beskids are a natural mountain system formed as part of the Carpathians. Human use has long included pastoralism, forestry and small-scale mountain agriculture; tourism infrastructure expanded through the 20th century to support hiking and winter sports.
The range lies in southern Poland, spanning parts of the Silesian and Lesser Poland voivodeships, and is within easy reach of regional towns and cities in the Beskidy foothills.

What to See #
- Czupel (933 m): A forested ridge and the highest summit in the Little Beskids at 933 metres above sea level, marked by trails that lead to panoramic viewpoints.
- Leskowiec (approx. 922 m): A separate peak reaching roughly 922 metres, with established hiking routes and a small chapel near the summit used by local walkers.
- Magurka Wilkowicka (approx. 909 m): A frequently visited peak around 900 metres known for its views over nearby valleys and for local skiing and walking routes.
How to Get to Little Beskids #
From Kraków or Katowice, drive or take regional bus services to towns such as Żywiec or Maków Podhalański; from there local buses or taxis reach trailheads. Major roads: follow DK1/A4 and then regional roads toward Andrychów or Żywiec depending on the trail chosen.
Tips for Visiting Little Beskids #
- Take the less-used trailheads on the southern slopes to avoid the busiest weekend routes.
- Bring a map and compass-the Little Beskids have dense conifer plantations that can disorient GPS devices.
- Look for local 'bacówki' (shepherd huts) and try oscypek from a roadside vendor if passing in summer.
