From Ayacucho city, take the paved highway toward Coracora (about 130-160 km depending on route), then follow local gravel roads south toward Pacucha and the Parinacochas basin; total drive time is roughly 3-4 hours. Public buses run from Ayacucho to Coracora-ask to be let off at the junction for the lagoon and hire a taxi for the final, unpaved stretch.
