Lake Dobczyce

Lake Dobczyce (the Dobczyce Reservoir) is an artificial reservoir on the Raba River in Lesser Poland Voivodeship, near the town of Dobczyce. It was formed by construction of a dam on the Raba and serves as a managed waterbody for the local area.

The reservoir shoreline and nearby hills are used for walking and local recreation, and the nearby Dobczyce Castle provides a notable viewpoint over the water. Boating and shoreline access are available in places around the reservoir.

The lake was created in the later 20th century when a dam was built on the Raba River to control flows and store water for the region. Since its creation the reservoir has become integrated into local leisure and landscape management.

The reservoir lies beside the town of Dobczyce in southern Poland, within the administrative region of Lesser Poland Voivodeship and serves the surrounding rural and small-urban communities.
