Lac Brenet is a small alpine lake in the Vallée de Joux, Canton of Vaud, Switzerland, situated close to the larger Lac de Joux.
The lake is part of a scenic high valley used for walking, cycling and seasonal outdoor activities; it is commonly included on local circuits that pass both Lac Brenet and Lac de Joux. In winter the valley is known for frozen-lake conditions that support winter sports when conditions allow.
Lac Brenet and adjacent Lac de Joux form a connected lake system in the Jura highlands; the area has long been used for pastoralism and more recently for recreational use by valley communities.
The lake lies near the village of Le Pont in the Vallée de Joux, in the Jura highlands of the Canton of Vaud, western Switzerland.
