La Garrinada is a volcanic cone in the Garrotxa Volcanic Zone in Catalonia, Spain, within the province of Girona. It is one of many small volcanic cones and related volcanic landforms that characterize the Garrotxa volcanic landscape.
The cone and its immediate surroundings are formed by volcanic deposits and are part of a larger protected volcanic area noted for lava flows, forested slopes and marked walking routes. Visitors use the network of trails through the Garrotxa Volcanic Zone Natural Park to reach viewpoints and to walk across the volcanic terrain.
The cone formed as part of Quaternary volcanic activity that created the Garrotxa volcanic field; it is one element within a cluster of cones and lava flows rather than an isolated stratovolcano with a long eruptive history.
La Garrinada sits a short distance from the town of Olot in the Garrotxa region of Catalonia, inside the Garrotxa Volcanic Zone Natural Park, north-east Catalonia.
