Kunstmuseum Bern

Kunstmuseum Bern is the principal municipal art museum of Bern, founded in the late 19th century and holding a broad collection from older European paintings through to contemporary art. It serves as the city’s main public institution for fine art.

The museum’s displays combine permanent holdings with rotating temporary exhibitions and loans, covering painting, sculpture and works on paper. Galleries occupy the historical museum building complemented by additional modern exhibition space.
