About Koralpe#
The Koralpe is an Alpine ridge in southern Austria that forms part of the border region between Styria and Carinthia. It is a midsized mountain area used for outdoor recreation.
The range has long been used for grazing and local alpine activities; in the 20th and 21st centuries it has seen development for tourism and mountain sports while retaining working pastoral landscapes in lower areas.
The Koralpe sits in southern Austria, straddling the Styria-Carinthia boundary, accessible by regional roads and serving as a natural divide between adjacent valleys.
