How to Get to Koprivshtitsa#
Koprivshtitsa is a historic Bulgarian town in the Sredna Gora hills; Sofia Airport (SOF) is the main gateway. The town is best reached by intercity bus from Sofia or Plovdiv - there is no direct rail service into Koprivshtitsa.
Sofia Airport (SOF): Sofia is the nearest major airport for Koprivshtitsa. From SOF take a bus or taxi to Sofia Central Bus Station (Avtogara Serdika) - transfer time to the city centre 30-40 minutes (taxi ~€20-€30) - then a direct bus to Koprivshtitsa (see below). Total travel from SOF to Koprivshtitsa is about 1.5-2.5 hours depending on connections.
Plovdiv Airport (PDV): Plovdiv is another option for regional flights; travel from Plovdiv to Koprivshtitsa requires a bus or car via Karlovo or Panagyurishte and typically takes 1.5-2.5 hours overall.
Train: Koprivshtitsa is not served directly by the national rail network; the nearest larger rail stations are in Karlovo or Pazardzhik, from which you must take a bus or taxi.
