How to Get to Kondalilla National Park #
Kondalilla National Park is on the Blackall Range west of the Sunshine Coast, near Montville and Maleny, Queensland. It is reached by car from the Bruce Highway-allow about 1-1.5 hours from the Sunshine Coast and longer from Brisbane. Parking is at the Kondalilla Falls picnic area with walking tracks leading to the lookout and falls.
Tips for Visiting Kondalilla National Park #
- Start the Kondalilla Falls walking track early to avoid crowds and to catch woodland birds at their most active.
- The top lookout requires a descent and ascent of stone and dirt steps-go slowly; the return climb is steeper than it looks.
- Visit in late winter or spring after good rains to see the waterfall at its fullest.
