Historic Dubovac Castle and the Aquatika freshwater aquarium offer contrasting draws for history buffs and families. Local taverns serve hearty Central-Croatian fare alongside a Karlovačko pilsner, and nearby forests and waterfalls make the city a low-key base for outdoor exploration.
