How to Get to Jambes#
Jambes is the riverside district on the south bank of the Meuse opposite Namur’s centre. Brussels airports (BRU and CRL) are the usual international entry points, with onward rail to Namur and a very short local bus or taxi hop into Jambes.
Brussels Airport (BRU): The main international airport is Brussels (BRU). From BRU take an InterCity train to Namur station (Gare de Namur) - journey time ~1-1.5 hours - then a short bus or taxi to Jambes (across the Meuse). Train fares BRU-Namur are typically €10-20.
Brussels South Charleroi Airport (CRL): Charleroi serves many low-cost carriers. From Charleroi you can take a bus or train to Namur (about 30-60 minutes by regional rail/bus) then a short taxi or local TEC bus to Jambes.
Train: Namur (Gare de Namur) is the rail hub serving Jambes; frequent SNCB trains connect Namur with Brussels, Liège and other cities. From Namur station it’s a short walk or bus/taxi across the Pont de Jambes into the Jambes district.
Bus: TEC regional buses serve Jambes and link the district with Namur station and surrounding towns. Bus services are frequent within the Namur urban area; fares are modest and tickets are available on board or via TEC apps.
