São Paulo-Guarulhos (GRU) / Congonhas (CGH) / Viracopos (VCP): Itu lies in São Paulo state and is most often reached by road from the São Paulo metro airports. From Guarulhos or Congonhas you typically travel to São Paulo’s bus terminals (Tietê or Barra Funda) and take an intercity bus to Itu (bus journey ~1-1.5 hours from Tietê, fares ~R$15-35). Viracopos (Campinas) is also used for some travelers depending on flight options and can be ~60-90 minutes by road.
